We provide safe play areas for children on the Doxford estate, as well as a games den complete with table football, air hockey, pool table and movie room.
You can also head outside and enjoy our outdoor playground with swings, a slide, trampoline, and a large field with football goal.
Don’t forget you can also soak up the views of a stunning walk around Doxford Lake.
Doxford Lake is 3.5 acres and lies 150 yards to the south west of all the cottages with a circular walk around it. It is difficult to convey the beauty of the lake or the privacy that one can enjoy in this wonderful location. There are arbours around the lake with seats to sit and enjoy the peaceful sights and sounds of the birdlife.
Wildlife that can be seen around the cottages includes red squirrels which regularly visit the feeders and otters who frequent the lake. Early mornings and late evenings are the best times for viewing these and badgers, foxes, hare and roe deer are common in the vicinity. The bird feeders attract a large range of birds including tree sparrows, nuthatches and great spotted woodpeckers. Look out too for hedgehogs hunting on the lawns in the evenings.
