The fishing village
of Craster

Craster is a fishing village located on the Northumberland coast, less than 10 miles from Doxford Cottages. When visiting Craster, a must-visit destination is L. Robson & Son’s kipper smokehouse – the kippers here are a delicacy and famously popular with the British Royal Family!

The Jolly Fisherman is also a firm favourite in the village for quality pub food and locally sourced seafood, with views across the coast.

Craster is also famously known as the gateway to Dunstanburgh Castle and Embleton Bay.
