Coach House Stayed at Coach House for a family birthday celebration for 3 nights. Beautiful welcome basket on arrival. The house was immaculate and very well equipped. The beds are very comfortable and decorated to a very high standard. We had an opportunity to use the facilities in the games room which provided a wide range of activities for all ages. Excellent Cottage Complex! The cottages are beautiful and full of character. We stayed in Carriage House and it was fantastic. Large rooms, well-equipped and fitted out to a very high standard. The welcome hamper was much appreciated and filled with local produce. The cottages are well-positioned for the coaster and the main roads inland. Lorraine was helpful and friendly! A perfect Easter weekend We spent a beautiful Easter weekend at the fabulous Doxford Cottages, staying in Doxford Dairy. The cottage was simply o perfect. Every detail had been thought of from a local welcome hamper to fresh milk and bottled water in the fridge when we arrived. The cottage is so tastefully decorated and really comfortable. The dark skies are out of this world- looking at a blanket of stars with a glass of wine was so very special. Our children loved the play park that was set back from the cottages so the children could play without disturbing anyone’s peace or views. This is definitely a family favourite now and we will return in the summer- a brilliant base to explore Northumberland.

Fox cover We stayed in Fox Cover which is a disabled friendly bungalow. The former gamekeepers cottage was light and bright, very clean and had everything we needed. The views to the lake and the amount of birds using the feeders which were filled daily, were a joy. The bed was huge and extremely comfortable. We were fortunate with the weather and even managed to have our coffee outside in the patio area a couple of times. A small suggestion from us but definitely not an issue for most was the wet room had loads of grabs rails and a drop down bar to the toilet. But, if ever they replaced the loo, a comfort height one might be better Well done to Lorraine and the team for making our stay so enjoyable

Everything you may possibly need is provided for you. The welcome basket is an excellent touch that gives you the opportunity to sample the local produce. Excellent place to stay , close to gorgeous beaches of Northumberland We had a wonderful time . Cottage is beautiful . Spacious yet cosy . Everything you could need is in the cottage . Beautiful location . Loved watching the birds outside of the patio doors . The wood and lake are peaceful and beautiful . So close by car to Bamburgh , seahouses etc Cant wait to return .

The perfect retreat Doxford Cottages take holiday rentals to a new level! Superb location, feeling as though you are in the middle of nowhere when you are there, but close to the A1 north or south and 3 miles from the sea in the other direction. Wonderful beaches, castles, country pubs, fabulous walks, it has it all. The properties themselves are to die for; furnishings, decor, space, particularly wonderful curtain fabrics, the lot. Excellent Place to Stay Our third stay at Doxford Cottages, this time in the Dairy. Excellent furnishings, as always, and kitchen equipment. A perfect setting for seeing birds, including pheasants and their chicks and woodpeckers, hares, deer and on the nearby lake, swans with their signets
